“Disappointing ”
Quality of Yakitori was disappointing as everything was very small and service was slow. With so many good Yakitori restaurants in the area, one would think they would be more aware. Ordering from the course menu is good value for money if you are more focused on drinking than eating. Ambiance is no...t bad at all but they need to step up their game!

“Amazing yakitori”
I went last night to this restaurant with a group of 9 other friends. We sat at 2 tables that had sliding screens around it so semi private. There was a small bar and other small areas to sit, not a big restaurant but wow the ambience was great. And the food. Awesome sticks of meat, mushrooms, aspar...agus wrapped in bacon, cabbage and miso, meat to wrap in lettuce leaves to name a few. This is not high class dining but excellent quality, perfectly cooked food to share with friends. I had house white wine (I wasn't expecting good wine at all) but it was pleasing for the price ¥600 per glass The total bill for 10 of us with an incredible amount of food ordered was ¥36,000 and we were all so full and happy when we left. Staff spoke some English and there is an English menu which was really helpful. Can't wait to go back.

“Fantastic little yakitori place!”
I really rate Momotaro highly. I've been here a few times now and - living in Roppongi - it makes a nice change to go out in Azabu. Momotaro is just as good (if not better) than the Roppongi yakitori restaurants (such as Jomon) and, in my opinion, better value for money. (Note: if you're staying in ...Roppongi, it's only a short 10 or 15 minute walk down the hill from the Ferrari dealership - well, worth the effort in my opinion). Momotaro has a mixture of smaller private rooms and bar seating. The ambiance is great - usually light jazz music and the aroma from the kitchen makes it a great experience all round. I would recommend everything on the menu but to pick a few items, I would say - chicken skin, anything wrapped in bacon (quail's eggs, asparagus, cheese etc), duck and leek and the roasted eggplant/aubergine.

“Something for dveryone”
We booked early enough to get a great little private room for the 4 of us, could have seated 6 easily I think. Press the button in the table for instant service. The variety of yakitori skewers on the english menu meant there was something all of us could happily order (including our vegetarian frie...nd). In minimums of 3, we had grilled ginkgo nuts and fresh corn, shiitake mushrooms, chicken with leeks, grilled onion and scallops, squid & prawns. And every kind of thing we could get our hands on that was wrapped in bacon: tomatoes, quail eggs, asparagus and the triple order of cheese. Momotaro is a great little place to sample some of Tokyo's delicious food.
