“Vegetarian Option available ”
I went in after seeing a sign posted in the entryway for Muslim friendly food. One is the three items shown is a vegetarian ramen. It was quite tasty with corn and potatoes and some toasted onions to sprinkle on top. They also had a variety with fish and one with chicken. Busy place with quick servi...ce and plenty of locals. Nice to no vegetarians and Muslims have a ramen option in Asahikawa.

“Spring onions and soy sauce”
Asahikawa is famous for it's spring onions and it's flavourful soy based ramen. The "Ichikura ramen" on the menu combines both. And it works quite well. Personally I find soy ramen to be the least interesting variation. My favorite is tonkotsu ramen served at the open air stalls by the river in H...akata, Kyushu. But this was one of my favorite servings of the soy style. Light, balanced and still packing a lot of flavour. Ichikura is a big place with quite a lot of seats and a big menu for a ramen place. It also attained a "bib gourmand" in the Hokkaido Michelin guide for serving food that is tasty at good value. I agree with the verdict.

“Good ramen and quick service”
Took a leisurely walk from Dormy Inn Hotel looking for ramen. I passed by this ramen shop and though why not try it as there were many locals inside. (My rule of thumb looking for food in a foreign country is to go where the local people hang out for meals, we won't go wrong). well the ramen turned ...out good, with generous portion of ramen and thick char siew. Service was quick to satisfy my groups of 5 hungry friends. I took the miso base ramen. not too bad. My friend tried the ramen with lots of spring onion. Spring onion lovers should try this since the Asahikawa and the surrounding area is famous for growing quality spring onions. Not forgetting the gyoga was fantastic, cripsy on the outside, and juicy inside. Have a Sapporo draft beer to down all this. Satisfied dinner.

“Good place for a late night ramen”
Overall quality is not as good as the other restaurants in town, but this is a good or probably the only few options you have in downtown if you want a bowl of late night ramen. I ordered a fried octopus as side dish and it is really so-and-so, though I did like the texture of their ramen.
