“Good meal!”
One of the most delicious and satisfying meal I had in Japan . There is also the ala-carte buffet . Beef was good, reasonable price. It is one of my favourite restaurants in Japan .

we have order for 4 dishes ,one beef and three pork dishes but served only one dish of pork we had to remind waiter . Taste was fair ,nothing special

“Best meal I had in Hokkaido”
I went to Gyakaku in Sapporo and Otaru . I paid about SG$50 per adult . It was the most delicious and satisfying meal I had in Japan . It was an ala-carte buffet . The staff would serve the food after we placed our order . There are a few of types of beef , pork and chicken to choose . It was not... wagyu but the beef was definitely bursting with flavour . The delicious beefy flavour exploded in my mouth and it was not due to seasoning . It was umami overload . It is important to note that I did not feel thirsty after my meal . Other than meat , there a few types of soup, salad , sides and desserts to choose . The list is exhaustive , and you cannot possibly eat everything on the menu . I particularly love the cold soft boiled egg on soft tau foo , the egg and seaweed soup and the kimchi . The kimchi is spicy and authentic . I love the dessert with the soya bean powder and brown sugar syrup on the milk pudding . It was a nice ending to the delicious meal . It is one of my two favourite restaurants in Japan . The other one being the chain restaurant - Yoshinoya . I look to dine at Gyukaku again when I visit Japan in Dec 2015.
