“Good food, but service not too welcome for non-Japanese speaking customers”
Restaurant name should be Sukiyaki Sankousha. Went there for lunch and the manager at the counter will be very honest with you - they will only communicate in Japanese and only has Japanese menu. Ironically, he did say in perfect good English - "No English.", "No English menu", "3 person, order 3 ...sets. No share food." We use our limited Japanese to communicate tho' - well, at least we made our effort. Food is good, I must admit. Will I come back again? Yes, unless I can find another authentic sukiyaki place in Sapporo.

“Excellent sukiyaki”
Sukiyaki here was excellent and the marbling on the beef was good for the mid tier option selected. Sukiyaki here are not too big, so best to have a side order of rice and noodles to go along or extra order of beef. Staff here don't really speak english and menu is only available in japanese so best... to get someone to help translate and make reservations.

“Lots of Locals. Lack of English, but pretty good food.”
I saw a lot of locals here, and our hotel gave us a coupon to eat here so we came. Only problem was a lack of English (worst then most) which was surprising to me as it was on the same complex as our hotel (connected on the 1st floor). Anyways food was decent and we all had a good time, so overall... a good experience.
