Having eaten at the Santouka San Jose, California location we decided to eat in the "headquarters" in Asahikawa. It looked like it was recently renovated with a modern setting. Entrance was on the side of the building now facing the street. The line was about ten people ahead of us but it moved ...reasonably quick and we were seated in around 15 minutes. There were more counter seats versus tables. The menu was very similar to what was found in San Jose except they had a pork cheek special. I got the pork cheeks with a medium ramen bowl and the meat was fork tender and just melted in the mouth! They served it with any ramen version on the menu and I chose shio (salt) which was their specialty and number 1 seller. The one comment was the bamboo shoots had a little stronger taste and smell than I remember and it was a little distracting at times. My SO enjoyed the spicy miso pork ramen. The pork seemed to be tastier than back home. We also ordered the gyoza and it was juicy but wanted a little crispier skin. One piece also had a small piece of cartilage that was inedible. Overall a nice hot meal to warm up after visiting the 2025 Asahikawa Winter Festival.

A short walk away from asahikawa Jr Station. Food came out fast and piping hot. Santoka has franchises around the world and also in my home country Singapore. Glad to say that the ramen at the main branch tastes the same, if not better than their overseas franchises.

This restaurant is close to the station and it is less than a 5 minute walk away. This restaurant is quite famous for their ramen . We decided to try the ramen and was not disappointed as it was very deliciousĺ and also made you feel warm. If you are ever at Asahikawa you should come and try the... ramen and you will enjoy it very much.

We enjoyed this ramen back home in SH The Central. Decided to visit their honten in Ashikawa as we were passing through thus city, Went for a family late lunch around 3PM. Ramen (Miso and Shio) was good. Ordered the large and could not finish...(asians should try medium). The pork cheek did not disa...ppointed. small restaurant with counter and table seating. We like the place.

This restaurant is just opposite our hotel (Court Hotel). We went there at about 1.30 pm and was able to get seats for the four of us. The ramen was delicious. We ordered the poached egg. The char siew pork is to die for. We should have ordered more char siew but we were quite full. They stay ...open till 10 pm (or until stock last). Highly recommended. They do have many branches around the world. Need to try the branch in my country and see if the quality is the same. No doubt it will be more expensive.
