“Really liked the food here.”
Really liked the food here. No English menu but the staff will work with you. The fish was great and they have local beef and pork.

“Whale taste ”
It's a big restaurant and there are many choices like noodles rice kinds of oysters chickens and so on. Whale is specialty here , meat , tongue , etc. food are nice and waiters are friendly and helpful.

“A Disappointing Dinner since our arrival in Hokkaido on the 18th Feb”
This is supposed to be the second best restaurant in Abashiri but for me it is not. The fried scallops was too dry, too elastic and have not much taste, the bamboo skeweers chicken were a little salty and not much of the taste.

“Bustling and Welcoming”
Sakana-tei Kihachi is, as the name suggests, a recommended fish restaurant in a town known for the freshness and quality of it's fish. Busy and convivial, it's towards the west end of town, close to the JP post office and a five minute walk from the main JR station. Usually busy with locals enjoyi...ng it's warm welcome in Abashiri's often blustery weather.

“Fried salmon rice - Not tasty at all ”
I was a bit disappointed as the fish has no taste at all and the guy next to me didn’t stop smoking. Most Japanese ordered sashimi and crab but I followed the advice from TA and ordered the salmon rice. I had a cheese vegetable plate and it was slightly better.
