“Really liked the food here.”
Really liked the food here. No English menu but the staff will work with you. The fish was great and they have local beef and pork.

“Whale taste ”
It's a big restaurant and there are many choices like noodles rice kinds of oysters chickens and so on. Whale is specialty here , meat , tongue , etc. food are nice and waiters are friendly and helpful.

“Bustling and Welcoming”
Sakana-tei Kihachi is, as the name suggests, a recommended fish restaurant in a town known for the freshness and quality of it's fish. Busy and convivial, it's towards the west end of town, close to the JP post office and a five minute walk from the main JR station. Usually busy with locals enjoyi...ng it's warm welcome in Abashiri's often blustery weather.

“Fried salmon rice - Not tasty at all ”
I was a bit disappointed as the fish has no taste at all and the guy next to me didn’t stop smoking. Most Japanese ordered sashimi and crab but I followed the advice from TA and ordered the salmon rice. I had a cheese vegetable plate and it was slightly better.

“Good recommendation by the hotel”
Located in the city center (within a short walking distance from Abashiri Station), the restaurant is filed with locals. I know I was at the right place. Following the advice of fellow TripAdvisor members, I ordered a fried salmon rice bowl. Delicious! The seafood side dish was fantastic. The pers...on beside me ordered grilled asparagus and eel. They look so tantalizing. It's a good experience. The menu is in Japanese only but the staff are helpful. One staff tried to communicate with me using google translate. He wrote: let me know if you need help. Nice gesture! PS: the melon ice cream was bought at a convenience store on the at back. It's so good that I have to share with you guys!
