I feel so lucky to have found this restaurant on my first day in Sapporo. The taste of the curry is so delicious and you get an extra top-up of curry if it’s all eaten before your rice or katsu. Afterwards is a free scoop of ice cream which was a great surprise and is also delicious. The restaurant ...is very cosy with four very friendly ladies serving the meals and always very attentive to the customers for noticing when you need more curry, more water, or ice cream. The price is also good at 850yen for katsu curry which includes a large katsu and lots of rice. After finding this restaurant I came back almost every day during my two week stay in Sapporo. I’m already looking forward to coming back to Sapporo again so that I can eat here again. Please open a restaurant in England!!!

First of all, this is great. And the locals know it too having supported this tiny restaurant since 1937. The katsu is freshly battered and then fried right in front of you. Rice is a good balance between fluffy and sticky and the curry sauce is served piping hot as it should be. But what makes... this place truly unique is the spices used in their curry sauce. There is clearly a sri lankan/coastal south indian influence here. Like a good sri lankan fish curry, there is a lovely sour base in the mix. Set off perfectly against the typical sweetness of Japanese curry and you have a winner. Fragrant, aromatic, sour to offset the heaviness of this very generously proportioned meal, the curry sauce is just magic. After a long day's worth of shopping, this is the ultimate pick-me-up.

My Wife happened to find this place from her travel book, it is located in a building which is accessible from within Sapporo Station area. This is a small restaurant managed completely by 2 ladies. We chose to have the curry with pork cutlets, I ordered for the bigger size. The cutlets were made fr...esh just before our eyes to golden brown, crispy on the outside deliciously tender on the inside, and the curry was just delicious. It was simply a delicious comfort food. The portion size was really good and you are given an ice cream at the end, what else can one ask for. And yes you can ask for more curry, which they are happy to give you :-). This is something we came to like in Japan, a seemingly small place can through you back with absolutely good food. Glad that we visited this place. Our best wishes to both the ladies.

We went thrice to try but 1st time we were too late & they are closing. 2nd time we were too early & they are stil preparing. We finally got to eat the 3rd visit. It didn't disappoint us & were surprised that it has this unique spice taste that only can find in Singapore Indian food.

You can eat Japanese style "curry rice" in here. At lunch time, This is stuffed with local office worker. That's made from chemical less vegetables. My recommendation menu is Chicken curry (750 JPY). You can eat Ice cream after a meal. That's free. (Includes your payment)
