スープカレー TREASURE

I had the fried chicken leg soup curry level 3 for spiciness which was only mildly spicy. I tried my wife’s maximum level 5 which I thought should suit most South-east Asians’ tastebuds. The curry was flavorful, multilayered and not too salty. It seemed like a diluted version of a well done Indian c...urry perhaps? But not quite Peranakan. I couldn’t help drinking up every drop of the soup. However, the standout for me was the accompanying baked broccoli. The smokey smell and taste was unbelievable. Order extras as an add-on. You won’t regret it.

The first taste blew our minds away. It had so many dimensions and layers of flavors, some Asian medicinal. The crispy fried chicken leg and skirt steak excellent but the deep-fried no-batter produce sets this dish apart. We never had soup curry before. Now it will be in our list when visiting Japan.... We also want to try Treasure’s more famous sister restaurant, Garaku, which was fully booked when we visited.

I love Japanese curry, but I've yet to have soup curry. I saw the soup curry restaurants all over the place and just decided to pop into one and try it. I ordered the soup curry with fried chicken and it came out pretty quick. Portions were big and you get a side of rice. You can customize your orde...r (spice, amount of rice, etc.). I found the taste and quality of the food to be very good. Service and atmosphere was great as well.

We waited maybe 20 minutes to reach our table. The line is much shorter than the sister restaurant across the street. On a cold day, it was good to wait indoors, at basement level protected from the wind. This Curry Soup is famous for the Hokkaido region and a must try when you visit. The soup i...s not at all spicy compared to Thai curry for example. The Curry soup comes with a side plate of yellow rice. On a very cold winter day, this soup was very warming and filling. It was more like a chunky stew rather than a soup. I ordered the beef and found the meat portion size very small. Lots of vegetables.

We went at lunchtime, around 1pm, and queued for around 20 minutes. It was worth it. Really good warming meal. Variety of soup curries (chicken, beef, vegetable, pork....) and you choose your spice level. Medium was fine for me. Tasty curry soup and vegetables with my chicken. Recommended for ...a good value meal in restaurant with a good atmosphere. English menu is available.
