“Good but nothing special”
Meat portions were surprisingly small. Meat was fresh and tender. It’s good food but nothing mind-blowing. Just average. There are other grills/yakinikus that serve equally or better meat at a lower price.

“Nice Lamb Genghis Khan”
As soon as we settled in our counter seats, we each were served a plate of fresh unmarinated lamb. After a medium rare char over the coal-fired grill and dipping into the special soy sauce, the lamb was tender and flavorful, not gamey. We ordered seconds and thirds. The latter cuts differed from the... first. One serving came with the rib bone.

“Perfect to eat it on a cold day with a beer!”
北海道嘅另一個名菜就一定係 #成吉思汗烤肉，相傳係當年成吉思汗打仗嘅時候傳嚟嘅食法，喺札幌有好多鋪頭食成吉思汗烤肉，今次嚟到呢間本地人力推小店。將蔬菜同羊肉放上炭爐上面燒，羊肉雖然瘦但係食起嚟非常嫩同多汁，啲芽菜同洋蔥燒到招行再吸晒啲汁，配埋啤酒真係爽到呢！ Another signature dish in Hokkaido is Jingisukan (aka Genghus Khan Barbecue). It is a grilled mutton dish prepared on a metal skillet. The mutton was super juicy and fl...avorful. Perfect to eat it on a cold day with a beer!

“Great”
On a snowy night the smell of the barbecued meat took me across the street and up to this wonderful place. Very cozy, has a nice atmosphere, great food, simple concept and worth every last yen I spent in there. Truly the culinary highlight of an amazing city.
