Very good modern restaurant in a rural town of Kikonai in Hokkaido; less than 4 hours direct Shinkansen ride from Tokyo: * Good inviting atmosphere (especially for otherwise a very rural town) * Adjacent to Kikonai train station (only about 3 minutes walking including stairs in the train station) w...here Shinkansen stops 8 times daily in each direction, including a direct access from/to Tokyo * Better than average services by the restaurant staffs * Better than average food quality, including the porcelain ceramics the food is represented with * Reasonable price setting (for this atmosphere) even though by the rural standards, it may be a bit expensive Nice to spend one hour this way: Leave Hakodate at 10:40 train bound for Kikonai via Dounan Isaribi Line; Arrive Kikonai at 11:46; Have a lunch at this restaurant; Leave Kikonai at 12:57 (Hayabusa 22) bound for Shin Aomori, Sendai, and Tokyo
