Risotteria．GAKU bis

Once again, we had a lovely meal at this Risotto joint. The Tom Ayung Goong Seafoid Rusotto was a hit. Note the landmark Daiso Store on the corner is either gone or under a renovation. Anyway leaving Tanukikoji 1-2, turn left at the McDonalds on the corner, and cross the road. Look for the small si...gns and head up to the 2nd floor.

This unpretentious little restaurant impresses us every visit and it's now a regular. The Risotto selection is huge. We loved the creme curry prawns and baked shrimp (not risotto). A great place for 3-5 friends so you can share and try the various risotto. Desserts are also nice. Prices are ve...ry reasonable and service is relaxed and pleasant. It's on the Second floor just along from the big Daiso one block back parallel to Tanuki Koji 2nd block.

I reviewed this place before but it was posted on the sister location. This is very affordable restaurant serving the biggest range of Risotto anywhere I've seen. While it may nit be 100% Milanese, it is quite good and very cheap. They tend to be lighter on the cheese compared to Italian risotto b...ut it's fine. Risotto comes in 3 sauce bases (Chicken, Cream, Tomato) with salad and veges tossed in to make these tastey and refreshing. Great to share and taste the variety so good to go with a few friends. There are other non risotto items on the menu. They have an English menu. The crowd are usually young Japanese. It's a cosy little venue tucked away on the 2nd floor. There are signs outside. It's about 30m along from the large Daiso store on the corner (opposite McDonald's) a block off TanukiKoji between section 1 and 2. They serve tapped Sapporo Classic, and have a dessert selection. Nice little find.
