We offer delicately-flavored cuisine with colorful, vibrant presentation, conscientious hospitality and a seasonal feel in traditional plateware at TANKUMAKITAMISE.
Our Kyoto cuisine boasts of a history of over 1000 years. "Japanese cuisine" was registered by UNESCO as an Intangible cultural heritage in 2013. We offer sea bream and bamboo shoots in the spring; Kamo eggplants, sweetfish, and eel dishes in the summer; matsutake mushrooms, quail, and duck dishes in the fall; and soft-shelled turtle and turnips in the winter; with "conscientious hospitality" that reflects each of the four seasons to provide fresh fish and Kyoto produce in our Kyoto cuisine. We also serve seasonal a la carte dishes as colorful bento boxes and kaiseki courses.
