“Amazing Meal in Nara”
Genkishin Nara has been one of my all time favorite dining experiences in Japan. It was a rainy day and this place was open so I popped in. I ordered one of the specialty dipping noodle sets and was surprised by the amount of food that came on the tray. It included a little bit of everything, from c...hicken, tempura, to eggs and noodles. It was satisfying dipping the food in the broth and I was very full at the end. I had an incredible experience here and would gladly go back.

“Worth a visit.”
We actually were a little wary of this place because of a few bad reviews. We were tired of walking around looking for an alternative, so we went in with low expectations. I was pleasantly surprised. The ramen with chicken broth was so good that we went back a second time so that my wife could try... it as well. We both liked it. Service was good, food came out fast, beer was cold, wait staff was friendly and attentive. Don't bother with the negative reviews, if you want an interesting ramen experience give this place a try.

“Not bad but not perfect”
Not a bad place to go to eat ramen in Nara. I ordered the biggest one and maybe that was my mistake cause I could eat even the half of the ramen.

“Tasty Chicken Broth Tsukemen”
I ordered the chicken broth tsukemen (dipping noodles into hot soup). It is very tasty. You can cook your own porridge after the noodles. A great way to finish the meal (so full for me) only that I found it a bit too salty at the end.

“Tasty tori paiten soup! ”
I usually opt for tonkotsu ramen, but I have been branching recently. I am glad I decided to try the tori paiten aji tama ramen here. It’s a tasty soup with a good amount of menma (bamboo shoots), leeks, shallots, two small mince meat balls (nicely soft but not the strongest in flavour), a piece of ...soft and tasty chashu, & a halved medium soft egg (perfect texture). The gyoza is okay, with the crispy bottom and soft body. Personally I would like a stronger chive or garlic taste. Apparently the karaage is not as nice as they say, but I did not try it myself. They have several seasonings available, I definitely recommend trying the Yuzu no Hana (a lemony powder which you can buy if you particularly like it). They also have tsukemen options which includes rice so that you can create a porridge with your leftover soup. They provide fish broth at your table in case you need to dilute your soup.
