地魚屋台とっつぁん 天満店

This was highly recommended on our guide book and we wanted to go to a restaurant where it feels local so we decided to come here for dinner. The restaurant is quite near the Temma Station. Once you get out from the exit, you would have to circle back to the back street as it is located there. Wa...lking in you see feel like you are in a local fish market where people just sit here to chill and drink. Stainless steel tables and just small stools over the place so it is not a comfortable sit down classy restaurant but a local down to earth place. Looking around you would see Japanese couples, friends or people off work just sitting enjoying the food and drinks. The food was great. A wide selection of daily seafood and sashimi. You also have your choice of tempura and also sashimi don. Small hot dishes but also mainly seafood based. In fact I think everything here is seafood and there are no other meats. The only down side is that the menu is completely in Japanese and there is no English menu. A few of the staff can speak English so with the limited amount of Japanese we knew we could manage. We also basically just went with all the ones that are still available on the daily special plus some of the obvious sashimi. We also asked one of the staff to pick a few dishes for us. It worked out well for us and definitely one of the meals that I enjoyed a lot while we stayed in Osaka!
