This booking was made so that 4 of us could farewell one another in a beautiful restaurant with superb Michelin starred food, after having had a glorious holiday in Japan. What a disgrace. We were so disappointed. To start with, we were the ONLY people in the restaurant, with the excuse that it ...was a holiday! It was not a holiday in Japan, and what difference would this have made? We were then seated in an area with about 5 other empty tables. The atmosphere was terrible. You would think that as a minimum they would have sat us in a private room. We had barely sat down with no time to peruse the drinks menu and food was being brought out. We endeavoured to ask them to allow us to order a drink and relax a little before the food arrived as we wanted to enjoy our time and not be harassed into eating quickly. This request was ignored. As far as the food was concerned, the presentation of each meal was nice, especially the Seasonal Dish. However our taste buds were not in any way wowed and we found a number of the dishes quite uninspiring. Where was the Michelin experience? We asked where the chef was towards the end of our meal, expecting him or her to at least come to our table for a quick hello, especially as he/she was supposedly only cooking for the four of us. However this was not to be either. Finally, cost would never have been an issue if we experienced a true Michelin restaurant. However we feel robbed! There is no way this dinner was worth what we had to pay per person in advance - a lesson for others thinking of booking. I feel embarrassed to have brought special friends to such a location.

I want my family to try Japanese traditional Kaiseke meal. After a brief search online, I saw this one and booked via my hotel. We need to decide which course we want upon the reservation. The restaurant is near metro station and at B1 floor of a 5-star hotel. We expected a private cubicle for s...uch high-class meal, as what we had in a restaurant of traditional Japanese food in Gion. Instead, our dining place is a small area with around 6 tables. Diners can hear the chats from other tables. Food nicely presented. It's like a tasting menu, with several courses, served one by one. Taste ok, without wow. Overall, we don't enjoy the atmosphere (western high tables with other customers' chats overhead). It doesn't match the kind of food.

This is a restaurant in a shopping center but once you walk through the doors you feel like you've been transported elsewhere. Especially good in the private rooms. Service is attentive, unintrusive, traditional as expected of a restaurant as such. Nothing to rave about but also nothing to complain.... Food is well executed using very fresh ingredients. There were some outstanding dishes here being the uni dish on the seasonal platter, the rice with mushroom and the dessert. Food is quick quick between courses. Felt it could have been a tad bit slower but wasnt a big deal. This is well worth the money spent for the quality produced. It's easy to find, couple of stops away from Umeda or Namba.

Nice traditional Michelin star Japanese food. The food was good, there was a few dishes which is really Japanese cuisine such as boiled dishes, and pike soup. Do call ahead and inform about halal requirements so that they can tailor the menu to you.

I attended for dinner on a Friday evening and found the restaurant very quiet. I was initially a little concerned by this but my fears were allayed as soon as the food was served. I chose the Wakana 8-course meal (8,000 JPY) and it was delicious. The service was attentive but also discreet. Every co...urse was meticulously prepared with fresh ingredients and the menu was based on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. If you are looking for a freshly, precisely prepared meal in a quiet and relaxing environment, this is an ideal location.
