CHEDI LUANG

Went on a weekday at the end of the year, no reservation so waited about one hour. Very frustrating. Please reserve just in case. It seemed popular as there were several other restaurants on the same floor that were a bit dead. Were finally seated (two adults and two kids) and told that only water w...as allowed for adult buffet...ok...kids can have juice for free. Juice in is tiny containers on a high shelf in an awkward location. There seemed to be a lot of variety at first glance, but after an initial pass around it felt a bit lonely. Maybe I just didn't check very well. The fried potatoes were oddly sweet and very unpalatable. I thought that they would be one of the things that my son could eat, but he was very much put off by them. The only thing he could manage was the shrimp fried rice, which was actually quite good. There was a special pizza oddly on display at the very front of the restaurant, which didn't seem sanitary. It wasn't very good, anyway. A few popular items were empty but seemed to be replaced in good time. The carrot salad was way too spicy and the other dishes I tried seemed oddly not spicy enough. I think they need to balance a few things out. In all fairness, I didn't get a chance to try everything because the kids got antsy after a while and us moms couldn't take our time to eat more. All in all, I'm not sure I'd be back again but the price was okfor what was presented so I couldn't complain. I don't think the cost performance would be very good for a dinner buffet.

We are 2-3 times per year in Osaka and most of the times we are visiting Chedi Luang for lunch. Try to get a coupon via gnavi.jp for free drink buffet. This is a buffet restaurant and they are serving starters, several Thai curries as main dish and some desserts. Overall quality is very good - it ca...n become noisy during the busy times.

We had an excellent meal at Chedi Luang restaurant. We eat a lot of Thai food at home in Australia, and the dishes served here are authentic, delicious, and well priced. The restaurant was gorgeously decorated, they have an English menu, and our waitress spoke good English. Highly recommended.

This restaurant is set in the modern, trendy Herbis ENT building with a view overlooking downtown Umeda. We've been here a couple of times now and always enjoy it. Food is freshly cooked and nicely presented. The menu is quite extensive and everything we've tried has always been flavourful and de...licious, very authentic. The staff are always friendly and helpful and there's an English menu too which is a bonus for us.
