京都祇園 天ぷら 八坂 圓堂

Lovely little place for lunch . Not expensive and very authentic and comfortable. We had the prawn and tempura vegetables with rice plus a beer and sake and it was spot on.

I have eaten tempura in some of the best restaurants in the world and this was the worst experience I’ve ever had. The staff is rude and they rush you through the meal in an aggressive way. They have no respect for the customer. Do not waste your money at this establishment.

Very much not worth the hype - or the considerable expense. The food is just average but he experience, which I assumed would be the bulk of the price, was demeaning and embarrassing. I was put aside while others were served, then, as a party of one, taking to a small side room with no windows or de...cor. Eventually another couple came in but there was no banter, no shared experience. I dine alone a lot and am very comfortable but the feeling of being seated at the back of the bus coupled with the subpar meal informed this very poor review.

Had kaiseki Tempura many times, this was the best so far. the selection of dish was perfect. the mushroom with truffles, the uni wrapped with seaweed, quite a number of selection that was our first time to try. the combination was perfect. Good expetience

Service and food were great! It definitely was overpriced for what it is. You can get decent tempura at many Izakayas for much cheaper.
