I wanted to eat some Japanese BBQ or grilled meat & seafood sticks. We were walking along Dotonburi, Osaka & I happened to google for a few restaurants that were located there. Finally, we settled for Teppanyajin. I’m not too sure if I’m reviewing the correct one but pls look at the below card. Fi...nd your way there. The restaurant isn’t big, you need to walk down a flight of stairs. Don’t be afraid if it is a smoking environment, I survived it as the food quality, plus the service was excellent. I totally forgot about the smoke while I engrossed on the taste of the meat & all. The staff was alert & prompt. The dishes were accurate & served well. We had beer. We ordered many sticks - prawn, bell peppers, onions, beef, pork, chicken, wings etc etc. We asked the lady staff to recommend. They were so good! We couldn’t stop ordering! We had a table for 4 pax at a corner, those coming in had to take the counter seats where you can see the chefs grilling the food sticks. There was already a queue forming at the entrance. I will be back again should I visit Osaka next time. Oh, don’t forget to walk to the opposite shop...we had some traditional sweet dessert there. This restaurant offers good food too. We just informed the staff we wanted coffee, tea & desserts, they gave us a dessert menu. Their traditional desserts were so yummy! Very sorry, I forgot to take a picture of this restaurant. It has a curtain at the entrance. We enjoyed our dinner here at Dotonburi. This street was super crowded, many restaurant staff were touting for business. Remember to head straight to Teppanjinya! Highly recommended.

This is really a surprising find. Very good food (really tasty and seasoned very well). The skewered meat and shrimp is so so good. You’ll probably leave wanting more. The cold draft beer to go with the food is also great! Like several reviews here, we just happened to chance upon this place. It’s a... good thing we did!

Amazing food, very reasonably priced. We stumbled upon this place and really regret not coming back, or staying longer! Easily our best meal we had on our 3 week holiday (and we ate at Michelin star restaurants during this trip). Definitely a rowdy, packed, bar style restaurant - but the staff and a...tmosphere were great! Highly recommended and will come back to Osaka just to get the chance to have another “shiitake stuffed with meat” skewer! Oishii!!

We found this place by chance. The entrance is hard to find because it’s quite small. We tried a few items and loved everything so we ordered more. We had very tasty shrimps teppanyaki, scallops with miso sauce, beef neck teppanyaki, beef tongue teppanyaki, okra, and amazingly fresh sushi (salmon, s...callops and sea urchin). This place is highly recommended and i would return there if I visit Osaka again.

When arriving via dontonbori this resuatant is hard to find as it is wedged between two bigger restaurants, but once you go down the stairs you are welcomed by all staff members and the night begins. We were seated in front of the teppan cook tops, where we were able to watch all the action from our... seats. The drinks were flowing, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was exciting. Perfect for any tourist looking for a good feed.
