Great place, warm atmosphere, friendly staff, English menu, and most important horse meat! I recommend the horse thigh meat sashimi. It was very tender and had a good flavor. But you can't go wrong with the assorted platter as well. My friend got the horse meat baked on hot pebbles which he enjo...yed. To find the place just take the South exit at the Kyoto Station, head down the street to the Avanti building, walk down the street with your back to the station, stay to the right side of the street, walk until you see the Coco's Curry House and take the staircase up to the second floor right before it.

I'm in Kyoto for a business trip with a colleague. On the day we arrived looking for a place to have dinner we stop here. We had nice tempura and sashimi, the staff is very friendly, do not speak good English but enough to understand.

My Japanese friend invited me to kyoto and we visited bakabondo it was my first horse meat but it was good (very fresh) even there are so many kind of alcohol
