“The best food I've had in Japan”
I go out of my way to return to this place whenever I'm in Kyoto. Found it by accident and it seemed too good to be true. The price for a five-course meal isn't much more than $40USD. Atmosphere is perfect for everyone: families, friends, couples. Live music each night. Nice variety in the menu. Th...e true selling point is the all-you-can-eat bread buffet. They have over 30 flavors and I've yet to try all of them. This restaurant is actually part of a chain of bakeries, so breads/pastries are definitely their specialty. Location is less than ideal. There's a bus stop directly across from the street, but it's quite far from any station, and from the station it's another ~20 mins back to Kyoto. Still, in my opinion, worth going out of your way to try.

“we loved it”
We walked into this restaurant one evening and made a good choice. The restaurant offers some of the best western food in town. Their freshly baked bread were loved by our kids who kept on asking for more. Supply of bread was unlimited as we had it on our means instead of rice. The 4 courses prem...ium set menu (3999) was well worth the price. Kids meal starts from 890. The restaurant had very good set out and atmosphere was excellent. They had non-smoking zone which was a welcome in Japan by us. There were many locals coming for their anniversaries on the night. If you are in the area (North East outskirts of Kyoto ) please give them a go and I think you won't be disappointed.

“Very good”
It is a very good restaurant, with a really good atmosphere! Perfect for couples or friends that just want to talk... The courses are reasonably priced. Very good food, breads and salads!
