A bit difficult to find as they located inside the building, they do variety of beef selection with combination of Suki-Shabu. I think its worth the price you pay, but nothing special.

Came here last week with my gf. Crabs and meat are good. I wanted to conclude with a good tiramisu, and I am sorry to say that it was absolutely disgusting: it ruined a quite good dinner. An insult. Pity.

Went as a group of 7, got seated in the private area which was nice. Chose the suki + shabu / choice USA beef (the cheapest beef option as we actually targeted the vegies) and turned out to be so good! We did not expect to get that kind of quality with that price! The system is all you can eat and y...ou have to order every time you want something more. Service was unexpectedly quick, the staff came in within less than a minute after we rang the ball. Ww were glad to be assigned a server who was really fluent in english. Price is also very reasonable, great value for money. All in all really good experience!

While in Japan for two weeks we wanted every food experience. We are so glad we found Gion Gyuzen for Shabu Shabu. The location is perfect, right down the street from the Yasaka Shrine in Gion. You can create a combination of Shabu Shabu and other cooking techniques. We chose Shabu and Yakitori ...(grilling hot plate). We selected the Japanese beef and it was Delicious! We had a party of 7 adults, one small child, and were lucky enough to be given a private room. The service was impeccable. You get a full two hours to eat all the beef and vegetables you can fit into your bellies. There is a little call button....push, ask for more, and it arrives. Even the picky eaters in our group loved the beef and could choose the vegetables they liked. A magical experience. Highly recommend and we would definitely return. Price very reasonable for the amount and quality of food, especially compared to US prices.

You can chose between American beef quality and the Japanese one. I had a mixed menu with Japanese beef (AYCE at about 4000 yen). I cannot comment on the quality of the meat, I'm not an expert, but maybe chosing the American beef would have been the same. The service in that place was a disaster: we... had to call the staff at least twice in order to receive what the wanted. We were close to the closure time and the place was getting empty, so, I cannot find any explanation for such a treatment. For instance, I asked for more mushrooms and potatoes. And we received 1 piece of each (it's not a joke!)! after we commented that actually there were two of us, so, maybe it was a good idea to bring us at least 2 pieces of these vegetables.. The sauce for sukiyaki was heavy and oily. The day after I had a stomach ache, for the first time during my trip. As a consequence, we were completely not satisfied.
