“Best sushi we’ve ever eaten!”
We visited Souya for dinner and hooley dooley, it was amazing! We ordered the lightly seared variety plate, the teppanyaki variety plate and the avocado & salmon salad. We also had a few ‘sushi on a spoon’ varieties. Friendly, accommodating staff and an English menu. Was reasonably priced for such h...igh quality food. I can’t rate this venue any higher. If you’re in Osaka, it is a must visit!

“Shining on SNS”
This restaurant is a restaurant with Teppanyaki and sushi. Sushi has a feature. It's on a spoon. It looks very good and the taste is delicious.

“Interesting take on Izakaya”
In a city filled with octopus balls and okonomiyaki, Souya offers something a little different - sushi on a spoon, amid the fairly standard Teppanyaki offerings. Hidden down an alley just off the main road from Namba to Dotombori, Souya stands out from the pack with its sophisticated look and pitch,... and sees to have hit the mark, with everyone arriving after us turned away as the place was full. The grilled pieces of fish, meat and vegetables were hit and miss - some excellent and some okay, and they all arrived at once. The one spoon sushi was likewise, with the presentation outshining the taste with some. Service was good, the English menu, as always, loses a few things in translation ("pig winding in asparagus" was asparagus wrapped in bacon!) but gets there in the end, and the price was more than fair.

“Namba’s secret restaurants ”
Local Japanese restaurant which serves high quality, fair priced food and with good service, Souya is the restaurant to dine for. A Sushi and Grill restaurant which is unique and would bring a smile. Located near Hotel Monterey Grasmere and the Namba station a place worth visiting (Osaka)

“Hidden heaven in the alleyway”
Absolutely delicious fresh food, prepared with love and care. My husband and I stayed at the hotel Alexander which is right at the corner of the Souya. We walked past it and the concept of one spoon sushi caught our eyes. The food was so delicious we would be happy to visit it again and recommend to... everyone!
