Wow, what terrible service for my family of 10. We were in Japan for 12 days to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday and everywhere we went, every person we met, was so kind and welcoming. This place was horrible. The workers were absolutely rude and made fun of us, didn't serve us. Had to constantly ...ask for help. Meats came out late or not at all. Very unaccommodating and sadly, this was our most expensive meal in Japan. Similar to what we would have paid at the Gyu-Kaku here in the US. This is a hard pass.

Don’t know why service was below average and you needed to request rather server offered it initially and proactively. Maybe they were lacking of staff. You could have variety of beef and average taste.

My wife and I have been enjoying Gyukaku at various locals for about 12 yrs now. Gyukaku Honolulu - Awesome! Gyukaku LA - Pretty Darn Good! Gyukaku NY - Awesome! Gyukaku Tokyo - Awesome! Gyukaku Singapore - Awesome! Gyukaku Hong Kong - Very Good! Gyukaku - Dotonbori - Why Bother? As usual we... ordered eight dishes including King Harami, Gyukaku Karubi, Pork Cheeks & some Galbi. First, the quality of the meats were just horrible. Fat to lean ratio was higher than any where we've eaten before. Second, the texture was very rubbery to a point where my wife actually had to use both of her hands to cut off the meat. Finally, this was first ever Gyukaku without the charcoal action!! Really? BBQ without charcoal? Why bother? I guess I really shouldn't expect much from a touristy spot but then again I was in Japan......land of foodie wonderland.

Great place for a cool beer with all the meat your heart desires for a delightful dinner with your friends and family ... wonderful place for bonding over cocktails, beers and meats like beef, pork and chicken with your selection of accompanying salads to balance the meats over bbq meats on heated p...ans set to your desired temperature. Regretfully there is no red or white wine bar in this establishment. The prices here is arguably most reasonable by Japanese standard for the types and quality and you can select the “all that you can eat “ selection or ala carte depending on your preference and one can take your time dining ,drinking and chatting all night long as they open until late here. However be prepared to wait in Q most dinner time . Definitely recommended to try for first time visitor

We had buffet. The experience wasn't pleasant. Last order had to be made by 70 mins, you have to finish your food by the 90th min. The service staffs will keep reminding you on time check. It was a very rush dinner for us. There were 6 of us and just one bbq, how fast can we cook?? And the service...... either they hate their job or they hated tourists. Don’t waste your time there. And the food quality wasn’t exactly great too.
