“A hidden gem”
We came across this restaurant while looking for a place to eat close to the train station. From outside we didn’t understand much of the menu because it was all in japanesse, but the pictures of the food convinced us to give it a try. We didn’t expect to get a private booth with a door and a tablet... with the english menu to put our order in. It wasn’t hard to navigate the menu, but it did take us quite a while to go through all of it and find the food that we wanted. The food came out super fast and it was delicious, the Stone grilled rice with seafood ankake sauce in particular was our favorite, I think because of the sauce. We loved the place, the food and the atmosphere.

“Food was nice but atmosphere lacking”
A nice restaurant, we were given our own booth with sliding doors (good for privacy) and then tablets were provided for us to order from which bridges any language/ clarity issues. You ring a bell inside the booth if you require the waiter. The food is nice though - well presented and fresh (sashimi...). We did notice missing components from our order which we were told were old of stock - but only when we queried. Edamame here is served cold - so if you require them warm/hot, ask your waiter. Overall, the food is nice though pricey, but you feel quite isolated eating in the booth with minimal human contact.

“Our first Izakaya experience and it was wonderful!”
Book a table in advance and enjoy the snacks and drinks at this conveniently located izakaya (1F of the JR Nara Station). We were 17 and had booked for the evening and had a fantastic time. A tad expensive if you're on a budget but since this was our last meal in Japan we didn't mind!
