MODO DI PONTE VECCHIO

This restaurant is an absolute Must if you are in Osaka. It is located on the 30th (last) floor of an office building close to Osaka/Umeda railway station (walking distance). The view of Osaka by night is great if you have a window table. Very modern and sober design (all black and white). The food... is definitely the best part. Italian of course. We had cold cut plate (parma ham and salami) and grilled spicy shrimps tempura style with excellent foccacia bread as a starter. Second dish was pasta, the best I ever had, including Italy. One with roasted garlic and olive oil and one with cockles.There are about ten different pasta dishes on offer.Main course: chicken suprême with foie gras and braised Brussels sprouts.Fantastic.Good choice of wine, I recommend the Grüner Veltliner Hinter der Burg 2014.Excellent wine (white).The prices are very reasonable for that kind of establishment.For a 4 course dinner with apéritif and wine we paid around 20000 Yen. The sequencing of service and the temperature of the dishes was very good also..The only negative thing that can be said is the confusing explanation of the menu card and the arrangements. The staff is very Young (but courteous and attentive) but not very familiar with the English language which led to some misunderstandings concerning the menu arrangements. That was the reason why we choose "a la carte" which was as well in th end.

I have been here a few times for business dinner and found the food was excellent but also pricy. Recently my husband & I tried lunch sets (his set with beef as main course). Both are super delicious not only for the stomach but also for the eyes. Staff could speak English too and provide very good ...services. We should come back from time to time.

I took my girlfriend here for dinner on her birthday and had a great experience. We were seated in a segregated room which had about 6 tables. Small, but comfy with nice dark decor. There was a good night view of the city facing west towards Tempozan. We opted for the Cena dinner course. Reasonably... priced with a good range of options. The food was great and well described by the server. I thought the wine was expensive, though. When dessert came, there was a nice "Happy Birthday" message written with my girlfriend's name on the plate (they had asked for her name and offered this option at the time I made the reservation). All in all, great experience, may possible come again.

We went in this beautifull restaurant with a comple of collegues days ago. The athmosfer is grate very nice panorama,food and Wine was fantastic. We tried pasta with white truffles simply wonderfull not even in Italy so good. The service was good as well. Price whort it!!!! Regards

We went to the Original Ponte Vecchio in Kitahama. In my opinion this is the best restaurant i have ever been to. Ive been to most great places in osaka and this is the best.
