“Melt-in-your-month kinda beef ”
Recommend Omi beef steak course that will offer you full experience. It comes with Salad Soup, Grilled vegetable, the Steak, and one of the Rice dishes or Udon. Our soup at that day was pumpkin soup, a very good start to the meal. Omi beef was cooked medium yet still melt in our months. Having the... beef together with fried garlic and grill vegetables was great. Ending the meal with Omi beef garlic fried rice set this meal to be the best we ever had.

“Enjoy it!”
Good Japanese beef restaurant in this area. Near the train station, location is good. Environment is very clear, and accompany with piano! A little expensive, but worth with it! Service is the best! Children set is amazing, my child like it very much! Recommend everyone come to here eating delicious... beef! Fry rice is perfect ending! 好吃的和牛餐廳,位置靠近電車站,服務很好,餐點美味,牛肉沒話說,炒飯很香很好吃,很棒的結尾,適合來此旅遊的朋友 .

“good to taste Japanese beef”
Recently this restaurant was newly rebuilt to widen. You can taste not only taste of Japanese beef but the ambiance of Japanese restaurant. But please be careful. The size of steak is not enough for you if you expect the size of American beef. And the taste is also not enough for you if you expect t...hat of Kobe beef, most expensive kinds of beef in Japan.

“Omi beef at it's best”
A friend recommended the restaurant and we went there for dinner. The service was friendly and professional. Despite our limited knowledge of Japanese we were treated very obliging and the staff was very attentive. We came for the taste of Omi beef and experienced a delicious and tasty dinner experi...ence. “Excellent beef ”
Searching for excellent beef in Japan is more a hobby during our holidays than having a need to have a sumptuous amount of it as I am not a big beef eater . I was told by my affluent Japanese friends that Omi , near Kyoto , produced a very well sought after breed of cows with unbeatable pedigree .... They number around 6000 each year and boasted a history of more than 400 years . It was the first place in Japan to earn a reputation for the special way to ensure that beef sold was of a gourmet standard . So , I stepped into this Omi-beef restaurant Matsukiya in Shiga Ptefacture with curiosity . My quest is to find a variety better than the well known types from Kobe , Matsusaka , Saga or Iga which I have also tried . Depending on the sizes, ranging from 150 to 250 gm , or whether it is Matsukiya or special deluxe types , a steak course could be from Yen 10,000 to 23,000. But it is worth every Yen you would pay for . The first few appetisers of beef of various sorts and a cold soup were very much above average and tempted one to hope that the main dish would exceed one's expectation again . The Omi beef made its appearance and has hardly any fat in the meat . Legends had it that the meat quality of this premium cattle depended on the climate , the balanced diet and the water etc . Others breeds like the Kobe beef even exaggerated that beer would be used and the calves were often regularly massaged . My judgement was : the Omi beef has extra tender texture , juicy and would leave a lingering taste of top quality meat . It was excellent . However , I prefer ( nothing to do with the chef's skill ) other Japanese premium beef with a slightly more fat content . The surprise was actually the rice with beef , noodle and fried rice following the main dish , as each was among the best of its kind . Well , I had the fortune of also tasting ( like expensive wine ?) beef from Hida and Shimane in which the cattles were raised like children of the farmers. The price ( if one can secure such beef at all ) would be astronomical but honestly , as a layman , I could only rate them as excellent and give a general comment on the meat quality . The Omi beef tonight also fell into this category. But the quality of this special restaurant was beyond doubt , very high .
