“Worst service I’ve encountered ever”
We asked our hotel to help us make a dinner booking at this restaurant given its high rating on Tabelog. We wanted a booking for 6:30pm, yet they are fully booked and offered us one for 8:30pm instead. That night, we arrived at the restaurant 10mins early to see if we can start slightly earlier. ...They were indeed full and the waitress/ receptionist just told us they were not available. We told them we have a booking and suggested that we can return at 8:30 instead. The waitress didn’t really say yes and then closed the door firmly as soon as we stepped out. When we got back at 8:30, we stood at the entrance and were totally ignored, although we could see that two seats were already vacant at the sushi bar. After a few minutes, a pair of Japanese guests arrived and were immediately served and seated. We had to interrupt the waitress/ receptionist and even used Google translator to tell her clearly we have a reservation. She just said yes and did nothing. We interrupted her for one last time to tell her we were canceling the booking. Their service was totally unacceptable.
