“Very bad services ”
Very close to the Osaka station. But services from staff here fcuking bad. We won’t to come back here again…

“[The last place you should go] Not comfortable, bad service, taste bad, expensive. Awful.”
We’ve been to another Garb restaurant in Shinsaibashi and liked that but this Garb Monarch in Umeda was one of the worst restaurants I’ve experienced in my life. We will never go again and we won’t recommend it at all. The reasons are as follows: ・Unhygienic ・No infection control measures against... Covid-19 ・Bad atmosphere ・Bad service ・Not tasty ・Small amount but expensive Maybe they want to appeal to the people outside the restaurant that there are available seats by the window, but they won’t let you have the window seat unless you press them. There’s a huge heavy transparent plastic sheet at the entrance and it touches every single person coming in/getting out and very unhygienic. Waiting staff let people sit at the tables in the middle of the restaurant and the distance between tables is very close. During the pandemic, we felt very uncomfortable having a meal surrounded by people that close to us. There is a plastic board at the table but the way of putting it was totally wrong. It doesn’t make sense. We are vegetarians and asked a waiter if some dishes are suitable for vegetarians, but he didn’t know anything and had to go and ask his colleagues. He looked quite annoyed being asked to check it. There were only a few vegetarian options: Tomato pasta and French fries. Even the salads contained meat. The waiter took our order wrongly. We pointed it out and he took it away without apology, then he looked as if he was complaining about us to his colleagues. We ordered the pasta which was not boiled properly (harder than al dente). Too small amount (3 mouthfuls!) but JPY1200. It was a joke. Not comfortable, bad service, taste bad, expensive. It’s just a good location right next to JR Osaka station, but we will never go there again. We hope no one will waste their time and money. Especially if you are on a trip in Japan, we wish you avoid here not to get any bad experience.

“Worst service ever”
We wanted to eat something after arriving by train. This was only possible at the terrace, which was ok for us. Ordered at 5.30 pm 3 dishes, since we were 3 persons. First dish arrived after 15 minutes, second dish came after 60 minutes, by then we had asked twice. 3rd Dish did still not come, after... 75 minutes we asked for the manager. Not one member of staff, including the manager could, could make a basic conversation in englisch. No appologies or free drinks were offered. Both kitchen- and servicestaff were plenty around, but apparently not to do their work. We were very disappointed. This was the first time in 3 weeks Japan that we were treated so badly.

“Dining with the young crowd”
Interesting restaurant definitely catering to a younger clientele, we felt like dinosaurs in this place. But we enjoyed the lively, extremely noisy ambiance, good food, excellent service by a young lad, unbelievable fast turnover: we clocked the leaving of one set of customers, clean up and seating ...the next customers at 20 seconds! The menu offers a variety of small plates and more substantial items, we enjoyed a large charcuterie plate, excellent raclette cheese with potatoes, al dente penne arrabiata, an outstanding chocolate terrine and a good chestnut tiramisu.

“Good location, spacious, average food”
The breakfast menu is focaccia with a drink for 500yen. I ordered a minestrone soup with americano and a potato soup with late. Price came to 1700yen. Very average food but is right outside Osaka station.
