It was Sunday and we cameby here for our dinner after a day of outing to Osaka Castle and Tenjinbashi Shopping Street. We were hungry as we skipped lunch and waited to feast here. The restaurant was located on the 14th floor of Daimaru, in front of the Singapore restaurant. It was spacious and brig...ht and quite cosy ambience too. If you like snowcrabs, then you will like this place as they serve that as main course for the dinner buffet (do take note of the 2-hr period). Crabs were huge and fresh, the flesh were sweet and it's truly yummy. And it's unlimited serving, after you have finished them, you can reorder! Having said that, other than snowcrabs, most of the other dishes were just average and passable. A number of the dishes were over salty. And in fact, the spread was quite small considering the price they charge. They have some sushi maki (but no sashimi), some oden items, some cooked/stir fried veggies, meat, tempura items and pastries, thats all. There was no fresh cut fruits though they offer drink counter with softdrinks and juices. Service wise, slow especially in clearing used plates. Also the replenishment of foods was quite slow too. Prices? We made the reservation the day before and it was stated 6700 yen per pax in the poster but on the actual day, we were charged 7700yen instead. We tried to ask the staff on this but due to language barrier, they could not understand what we were asking and we gave up. So we felt that it was just a satisfactory buffet and have many rooms for improvement and can be much better. And if you do not like or eat snowcrabs, then it's not worth visiting as there are many restaurants offering buffet with a bigger spread and yet cheaper.

Actually I travelled Osaka and Wakayama during late November to early December 2016, we planned to enjoy great dinner (comments from bloggers) at Chiso Zammai, Daimaru Umeda during our trip. We walked in and tried to reserve table on 25 Nov 2016 for dinner (26 Nov) but the reception/staff of Chiso ...Zammai said that we can reserve table only if we have (home address) telephone number in Japan! Then we requested to paid full amount in advance so as to keep the table for 6 adults on 26 Nov, but they still refused to do so! As a tourist, we just want to enjoy a nice meal and joyful trip! We rushed to have dinner at Chiso Zammai from Kyoto after day tour, we got table successfully around 8:00pm! We were told by a manager that the restaurant will be closed at 10pm! We found the notice outside the restaurant is 11:00pm and ALL YOU CAN EAT! I enquired another staff, he told me"Yes, you can eat until 11:00pm!!!! We started our dinner buffet, BUT it was terrible that we have to queue and wait unit 9pm for the crab leg ....(hourly or limited supply for all fresh seafood!!) and we saw the cook was washing the stove around 9:00pm in the open kitchen...that means there will be no "fresh" food supply !! We were eating the food which placed on the table for long time (we worried much about the hygienic!). Especially the sushi! The staff just said "sorry" ..."sorry" but do nothing !! We have never been to such terrible restaurant in the world - Chiso Zammai, Daimaru Umeda!!

The buffet is cheap considering that most restaurants are selling a set meal at 1200++ yen, and this is about 2k yen for 90 min. Good variety of food, drinks and desserts. There is crab too. I liked the black vinegar drink and the grape jelly.

Love it! Fresh salad and sashimi,loads of sushi and dessert...mango cake is a boooom!!! Good for the money! If in Osaka will come and visit again🇯🇵😝

Good to go there before 5 00pm, Not more than 2000 yen including tax, The choices are limited but the quality is acceptable . The services are poor. No one would clean your table except yourself
