Outstanding Italian food in Kyoto. Directly across from Four Seasons Hotel and very popular restaurant. Reservations are a must! Excellent pizza, pasta, and caprese! Highly recommend! We chose to dine 2 nights while in Kyoto. Family owned and very friendly!

Good Italian food; we had a mozzarella and basil pizza with margherita, which was great. The staff spoke enough English so that we were very satisfied.

Who knew we would be in Kyoto and have a great casual Italian meal rivaling anything we have had in the States. Caprese salad, pasta and pizza were delicious. Service was excellent as well. If you are in Kyoto and want a break from Japanese food, be sure to go here.

This small unassuming place had such delicious food that we went TWICE. It is close to both the Four Seasons and the Hyatt Regency Kyoto and made for a lovely short walk from the hotel. Honestly, I did not expect such great thin crust pizza in Japan, but they have perfected it. The green salad, the ...wine, and the pasta were all delicious. With a party of 3 we were able to order a variety of dishes and share. Not only was the food terrific, but everything was reasonably priced. The staff was fun and responsive to our questions. If this place were in our neighborhood back home, we'd be regulars. Go and enjoy. (Reservations are a must.) We did not try the deserts, but I can recommend the green salad, caprices salad, the pizzas with perfect thin crust and a seasonal veal chop that happened to be on the menu. Sorry no photos of pizzas as we ate them too quickly;)

Unpretentious Italian food made meticulously and able to rival the best in Italy. (Hubby is Italian and wanted to check out a good pizzeria in Japan. We love Japanese food and ate local cuisine during the rest of our travels). The atmosphere was inviting and relaxing yet a cut above a basic trattor...ia. The service was superb. Highly recommended.
