I took my partner for a special birthday dinner and I could not have chosen a better place. The food is amazing, and the service is impeccable; from the moment they took our coats to the moment they walked us to the door. The staff are attentive and nothing feels too hard. I booked this place 2 months in advance as a surprise for my husband for our anniversary! This place didn’t disappoint us at all. The food was very delicious and the service was top notch. Thanks to all the staff who made our day so special.

We had a lovely evening in this charming Japanese house serving French excellent food. The food was very good, the setting charming and calm, they catered from our different dietary requirements. A most enjoyable evening, deserving of your Michelin star. Well done and thank you.

This is my first trip since March 2020. Feeling really excited and grateful as I can visit Japan with my good friends. This is my first time visiting Michelin restaurants in Japan, I have done some research to find out some “must try” ones. MOTOI is one of them. Reservation was not easy as I just ha...d two days available in Kyoto. Grateful for the booking service provided by My Concierge Japan, my group of 8 was able to have a really impressive & delicious dinner at MOTOI. The restaurant ambience & decoration is very good. Excellent service from the staff. Superb cooking & artistic dish presentation from the chef & his team. A definite must go if you visit Kyoto but warn you to make early reservation.
