HAJIME

Wow what an amazing experience from staff, to location, the minimal dining room, the overall ambience, every aspect was outstanding. Disclaimer: be prepared to sit at your dining experience for 4 hours. This is not for the faint hearted and those with little patience. Having dined at many Michelin... star restaurants in the past, I always have high expectations but the food here blew me away. The moment you walk in the minimal dining room, the darkness made everything feel very intimate. Chef Hajime’s creations were not only well conceived but also executed well, truly deserving of the three Michelin stars. The gastronomy based cuisine was exquisite, and the stand out dish “Planet Earth” had an array of ingredients that I would never imagined working together but wow it was phenomenal. Definitely an experience worth paying for and one you’ll remember, I’m so happy to have experienced Hajime Dining with my best friend.

This place was so good, I had waves of good energy in my body for 3 days after my meal. Usually, when I enjoy fine dining, the good energy only lasts for one day. Also, Hajime greets each guest at the end with a gift to take home. We received a tea jam. I have never had an experience such as this...!

Had reservation in far advance. Came with my wife and was told in rude form that I do not have reservation confirmed. I was told that I had to ask them before I came. The fact is that they did not ask for any confirmation at all. The worse part in this story that waiter did not even give any apology... nor try to resolve the situation. He clearly did not care at all about some foreign people they drop the reservation for without even letting them know about it. Surely, while we were there, they give tables to two Japanese pairs waiting in a hall. Simply waiter just went away ignoring us. You will think this is a casual case. No. Look at the entire picture. The restaurant is 3 (!) stars Michelin. But has no any respect for the customers. In 21th century do not have properly working internet reservation. Do not have any desire to communicate in clear English even in email. The restaurant is located in a plain small room in a small building on a back street. The meal is cost $500 without drinks. Do you really want to be a part of this money-making machine for nothing or some fancy illusion? Clearly not. I had visited many Michelin starred restaurants around the world but never had such disgusting experience when you been treated as a second class. And I am glad I did not give a cent to this fast food shop.

Wow. What a place! This is perhaps the best dining experience my partner and I have ever had: course after course of exquisite perfection, each like a work of art and wonderful to eat. The signature dish - ‘Planet Earth’ - has been much written about, but the hype is justified. It’s stunning. We’re ...both big meat-eaters but loved this dish. The wine pairing was also excellent: we chose the Japanese selection and were not disappointed. The restaurant itself is beautifully understated in decor and justifiably confident about its stature, without ever being fussy or pretentious. The service was flawless: friendly whilst staying professional. Just a perfect evening. Thank you!

Fine restaurant and fine ideas of combining food with earth and nature, reminding me of the Anthologia in Shanghai. Fancy-also-well cooked food are impressive, however a Japanese wine recommended was terrible 😂😂😂 Don’t try! Also the services could be improved.
