“surprisingly good!”
We couldnt find any place to eat, so we came here. I read the reviews afterwards, and they are a bit deceptive. The hosts were friendly - but clearly did not speak much English. The female bartender was helpful and gave recommendations because her English was better. There is no English menu, but yo...u only have to translate it with Google Translate with the camera feature. There was a set menu, and honestly, that was the best choice. It was Obanzai, i believe it's called - small dishes. But they had a little bit of everything, so if you're exploring wanting to try a bunch of things it's good. There is a full bar and the bartender was helpful with drinks. So 2 set menus, 2 drinks, 1 extra shrimp on a stick cost us $23 USD - which I thought was pretty good.

“Extra Charge for Non-Japanese Individuals”
**BEWARE** owner charges non-Japanese individuals a seating fee and minimum two drink order. For us, we ended up telling them we are leaving and they insisted us to stay and would waive both requirements. I think first impression makes a huge difference and at the end of the day it would be their wo...rds against ours if the bill came with those surcharges. You will know about these charges when you ask for an English menu.

“Small but decent place.”
The first impression was a downer. We were greeted by a female stuff that didn't seems to welcome us. But all the male stuff are really friendly. The food are decent, can't say it's excellent coz they are a bit inconsistent. But the price is really good. Can't complain when they only charge 800yen ...for an 8 skewers set.
