“Beautiful restaurant, service and food”
We wanted one nice lunch in Kyoto without going over the moon. We were lucky during the autumn foliage season to get a spot at this restaurant. Yes, it is a hotel restaurant, but it is quite good and hit the spot.

“Not so good”
Beautiful hotel BUT the breakfast is terrible and a rip-off (no buffet, only menu). Dinner is also much too expensive. All restaurants around close at 6pm so no alternative. VERY far from city centre. I regretted not having chosen Park Hyatt.

“Outstanding venue and service, decent food”
The ambience created by this restaurant is outstanding. Unfortunately, the food is just good, not at the next level. For the price we hoped for more. Still, a good evening.

Sumptuously tasty and innovative dishes drawing upon a fusion of European and Japanese culinary traditions. The tasting menu has diverse flavoursome selections. Service is elegantly discreet and responsive. Not inexpensive, but good value for a high quality experience.

“Great setting for Japanese cuisine with European influence”
Fantastic setting outside the city for a memorable French influenced Japanese tasting menu. The sea urchin, lobster with yuzu was the highlight for me. A very nice bottle of Sancerre went well with the food. About 200USD per head. Good for a special occasion.
