“Good place for crab tasting in its various forms”
This is almost like fine-dining with crab dishes. Crab is cooked in various forms like sashimi, boiled, mini hotpot, grilled, etc. We couldn’t get used to the sashimi crab although we love sashimi salmon and tuna, so we boiled it in the hotpot later. Service was fast and we were introduced to how to... eat the dishes. We took two sets for tasting for a group of 5. Maybe 3 sets would have been better but a set a person would be too much.

“Not worth your money”
Tremendous Tourist Trap... not worth the price. Service was good (as most japanese restaurants) but portions were poor and not so many kani in the dishes..

“Crab Delight - Kani Douraku Kitashinchi Branch”
My wife mentioned that Kani Douraku蟹道乐 is a must try in Osaka. Our guide recommended us this outlet away from the croweded main branch at Dotombori. The Kitashinchi outlet was relatively near to where we stay (Hanshin Hotel) and this is also near to Osaka and Umeda station.No waitlist, we went strai...ght to our table at around 7:30pm. We have crab claw sashimi, baked well-cooked crab claws, crab hot pot. This is really heavenly delicious. To cater to non-Japanese customers, the restuarant even have a Chinese waitress and a South-East Asian waitress (probably Thai). Although they might be students, this is great for tourists. For the kids, the restuarant gave banner strip hats with a cartoon crab design to the kids. It is really memorable to see the 2 kids wearing that and chomping down the claws. Cost wise, this is really expensive but a must-try one time experience.
