Sakanayashumpei is a casual izakaya that specialises in fish/seafood. The place is very cozy and buzzing with lots of customers. We tried the vegetable salad which was so good that we ordered a second helping; the 5-kind assorted sashimi which had large pieces of very fresh and delicious fish; gri...lled seasonal fish which was very meaty and juicy; homemade tofu which was smooth and tasty; and grilled wagyu beef which was juicy and tender. Everything we had was good. The service was good but they did get a bit short-staffed at times. Overall it was a fantastic experience. The bill was about JPY4,000 per person including a cocktail. I will definitely go back.
