“Tasty and cheap udon”
Restaurant has very delicious and cheap udon. They offer different sizes based on how hungry you are. This restaurant is also open past 7PM so it tends to get busy for dinner as most other restaurants are closed by then. There's also an English menu available and staff were very helpful.

Ordered the Kayaku Odon. Big portion and great soup to warm up your body for spring cold weather in Arashiyama.

“Great！京都・嵐山で「九条ネギうどん」を食べるならここ！”
If you come to Kyoto, eat "Kujo-Leek Udon". 新渡月（Shintogetsu） is a super-famous shop with a 90-year history on the main street of 嵐山（Arashiyama）. The soup is also delicious, and the udon is homemade noodles. Whitebait of fried pot（Kamaage Shirasu-釜揚げシラス） bowl is also available as a set.it's yammy. A ...variety of pottery dishes are also wonderful. Work is polite. It's delicious. I always wait outside, but it may be surprisingly early. I recommend this restaurant because it is very calm. 京都に来たら"九条ネギのうどん"でしょ！ 嵐山のメイン通りで90年の歴史を刻む超有名店の新渡月(Shintogetsu)。 出汁も味わい深く、うどんも自家製麺です。釜揚げしらす丼もセットで。 写真は、「鶏と九条ネギのうどん」。鶏と鴨が選べますが僕は鶏で。歯ごたえがしっかりしてて美味しい鶏。うどんはコシがあってネギは言うまでもなくgood。 値段は1200〜1300円くらいです。 同行者はカレーうどん。普通のカレー味をイメージしてたら少し違います。出汁の深みがあるカレーっていうのかな。新しい味わいでした（結構美味しいです）。 陶器のお皿も種類豊富で素敵。仕事が丁寧。 かなり並んでますが意外と順番早いかも。店内はとても落ち着いているのでオススメです。 京都で意外と見かけない、九条ネギのうどん。観光地のど真ん中ですが選択の一つとして正解だと思います。

Very delicious food! They use very big and beautiful plates. They have english menu easy to choose, I really recommend.
