Their sister location has rave reviews and is constantly very busy. Since we live close by to this location, we wanted to check it out. Located above Tengayu, on the 2nd floor is this Yakiniku restaurant. The steps are really steep. It was difficult for some in our party to get up the stairs. T...hey have 3 very private booths with doors. Total privacy! They have a two-hour time limit. They want you in and out within that time. If you want to have a course menu, it must be pre-ordered 24 hours before. These people's claim to fame is that their prices are at wholesale prices. For example, our wine was regularly priced at ¥5,000 per bottle but the sale price was¥3,500. We have confirmed that there is minimal markup. The meal itself. The meat was just okay. We ordered the thick cuts of beef tongue, but it was still slightly frozen. Their salt was mixed with MSG. While I am not anti-MSG, I want to choose when I put it on my food or not. The quality of the beef was good however their cut was really uneven. Therefore, the meat doesn't cook evenly. There is reimbursed parking available at their approved lot only. It is a couple of blocks away. There are so many yakiniku restaurants in the neighborhood. While we are happy that we came to this place this evening, nothing was compelling enough for us to go back.
