“A Culinary Experience”
I found Recette through a Japanese website and it fit the bill of what I was looking for - a quiet location that is slightly off the beaten path (it's a 5 minute walk from the nightlife district) where the seven of us (mostly >75 years of age) could hear each other talk, and food that was not only g...ood but memorable and fitting for Kobe. The presentation of the course as well as the hospitality of the staff was impeccable. Highly recommended if you're looking for a quiet, memorable culinary experience.

“A dazzling lunch in every way, and for such a reasonable price”
My wife and I recently had one of the best five-course lunches we've ever had, in a chic setting, with three different kinds of bread served, and some of the most elegant, sweet service imaginable at this restaurant--and, since it was lunch-time, the whole set cost only 2500 yen each. SInce it was ...my birthday, they even threw in candles, a photo and "Happy Birthday" in English written around the sides of my dessert. Note, however, that this is a description of the little, cool restaurant Recipe, which enjoys the same kitchen as Recette, but, to my mind, is much more stylish, intimate, contemporary and, somehow, delicious.
