Located in the alley running beside Hankyu Shukugawa Station, this is a smaller izakaya that specializes in Oden cuisine. Technically, it is not a reservation-only restaurant, but you won't get a seat unless you book in advance or go very late. The restaurant was fully booked, and I had reserved ...our table a month in advance. There wasn't an available seat. They put a two-hour time limit on our table. Their speciality is Beef cheek Daikon Oden. I don't understand the hype, but I generally do not like daikon or dashi, so getting me to begrudgingly admit it was tasty is a feat. The tofu cheese was so good, I am planning to go back just to have it again. The food is very Japanese. If you are not comfortable with Japanese food, some of the food may be just too much to take. However, it is the perfect place for people to go to if they want to try genuine Japanese flavors. The price was reasonable considering the quality of what you get. Think ¥5,000 per person. This is not a cheap, quick eat-and-run establishment. If I were to complain about one thing, it is their serving speed. It took time. No parking, and this is a cash-only establishment.
