“PONTOCHO A5 Sirloin steak”
We ordered 240g of A5 sirloin steak and it's the best melt-in-your-mouth meat that we've tasted for just Y5800. This is in the middle of Pontocho and just 2 minutes from our hotel, Cross Hotel Kyoto. I was not able to finish my order as I was very full but good thing my husband, Joseph, has more roo...m and finished my order on top of his own 240g order for himself. The quality of the meat is top notch.

“If you like meat, you will love this BBQ place”
Amazing live (self-)BBQ place. Discovered coincidentally & decided to come back again. Staff very friendly & accommodating. Meat of high quality. Very recommended. Reservation might be needed at peak time for dinner.

“Melt in your mouth steak.”
Top rate steak. Cooked it ourselves, it was so easy and the meat literally melted in our mouths. The staff speak good English to explain the process of cooling and ordering. Highly recommend if you are looking for a superb premium steak.

“A truly wonderful experience ”
From the warm reception at the door to the ice cream, this was a wonderful Japanese dining experience. The lovely waitress was patient with our requests and tolerated our very poor language skills. The steak was the tenderest I have experienced and the accompaniments were delicious. I recommend thi...s restaurant above the numerous dotted along this wee street. No view but did we need it?
