ステーキ花郷 祇園店

MY friend and I went here without reservations, and it was a busy Saturday night, but they managed to accommodate us with only a 30 minutes wait. We waited at a nearby bar (Bar Jigen) with a few Japanese single malts :-) and walked back over. The meal itself was a multi-course affair and was excelle...nt. We went for the Yonezawa beef option, and it was fantastic. Hanasato may be pricier than some of the equivalent places, but it is well worth it.

I went here after hearing that it's solo diner friendly place to have some good wagyu. But when I showed up at dinner time and said I was alone, I was metaphorically laughed out of the building by the server.

Great ambience, chef very engaging and meat beyond words....simply delicious. We were there for dinner and truly enjoyed it.

Enjoyed dinner at the counter at Hanasato recently. We had a lovely meal and couldn’t fault the service or the food. It was great to be able to observe the chef making the food, really a great experience. We had the Higashiyama set menu, and one member of the party had seafood. All of the food... was exceptionally good and the service was top notch. Expensive in absolute terms, but actually very good value when you consider the quality of the food. The staff spoke good English and were very attentive. Highly recommended.

Very small. One private room that can accommodate maybe 10. Will need to have your hotel make a reservation for you. They may ask you for your credit card and sign something that says they will charge you full price if you don’t show. This is normal. Service was impeccable. Attention to details is o...ver the top. Get the special Yonezawa Beef that is from the area which cannot be exported. You will not be disappointed. Worth every penny for this dining experience!
