You feel like you're in a Michelin-star restaurant yet the entire meal was just $25. I think it rivals some of the best California restaurants I've been to

I would like to give this a five star ready, especially given the reasonable price, but it didn’t quite make it. We ate fairly light and didn’t try many dishes, but the carpaccio was very good, this salmon appetizer which was raw marinated and think sliced, was excellent and so reasonably priced. ...The service was excellent. They served free bagnacarda and even refilled the excellent veggies.

The entrance looks little sketchy but once you walk up the stairs, you will see the shelf with all kinds of wine. They have excellent choices of wine. And the food is just excellent. We had pasta, pizza, sausages, salad and every single dish was delicious. The staff are nice also. We visited Nara an...d hoped to have very "Nara" food but found out there isn't any, so ended up going to this restaurant, which was a great choice. Absolutely yummy and very reasonable food and we will definitely go back again if ever in Nara, and highly recommend. It is in walking distance from Kintetsu Nara station and Nara park. There are many other shops around so you can stroll around the area after dinner too. By the way, according to the locals, the typical Nara food is called "Warabi mochi" which is a sticky rice snack --- you can't have it for dinner really, although it was very good. Also, the green tea poridge is known in Nara but I have no comment as we did not try it.
