Wassy’s Dining Souple

If you are ever traveling to Kobe or Osaka, you need to stop by Wassy's Dining Souple for an amazing dinner. To get here, take the subway from Osaka Station to Shitennoki-mae Yuhigoako Station. Exit 5 out of the Station basically drops you of at the intersection by Wassy's. Cross the street and Wass...y's will be on your left side approx. a one minute walk. We started in the Wassy's wine shop because we LOVE Australian and Napa wines and Wassy's has a great selection. We were greeted by the owner, Noriko Washitani-San, who was lovely and friendly and escorted us to our dinner table. Our waitress was exceptional (but I can't remember her name)! She spoke very good English and even printed out an English menu for us! The atmosphere was charming and warm with a beautiful glass wine cellar, hosting over 1200 wines. We ordered the $120 set menu and it was well worth the money. From the watermelon gazpacho to the seared scallops, Australian beef with black truffles, and the lobster with mango salsa...it was all delicious. The renowned Executive Chef, Katsumi Iwata-San, presented our meals and explained the ingredients. We drank bold Australian wines from Barossa Valley and Margaret River and ate exceptional food. From the outstanding service, to the exceptional food, to the personal touch of our English menus and Happy Birthday dessert- Wassy's Dining Souple is one of our favorite restaurants of all time. Special "thanks" to the Executive Chef, Katsumi Iwata-San, the Owner, Noriko Washitani-San, the CEO, Yoshiaki Washitani-San, and our amazing waitress for making our birthday celebration SO special. We look forward to vising Wasshy's Dining Souple in the future.
