“Fantastic service, great food.”
This is not casual dinning. Good authentic Japanese food with amazing service. This is a small restaurant seats about sixteen, some tables and some counter seats.

“American friendly, NOT!!!!!!”
This restaurant's staff, half seems to try hard on being hospitable to Americans and the other half are hostile, unsmiling and rude to this American...It was the rude half that spoiled a very fine meal and ruined my wife's mother's birthday celebration..Only because of my Japanese father-in-law and w...ife, I did not raise a fit, mahalo

“Very disappointing”
Went here on recommendation. Beautiful view but we were very disappointed. It was nice but certainly not worth the cost! We ordered sake and were told our first 3 choices were out of stock. This didn't start the evening off very well.

“expensive but worth every yen!”
Great location, looking across the river to the Castle. Excellent food, well prepared in front of us and the chef explained all the dishes as we ate.

“Fabulous indulgence”
Had dinner there with my wife upon arrival in Osaka, Japan. According to the hotel's Japanese web site, there has been a campaign for Ozaki beef recently which offers a free upgrade from A-4 rank Saga beef to Ozaki beef (from Miyazaki Prefecture) as long as you order certain prix fixe courses with ...reservation in advance. I firstly asked a waiter for the free upgrade offer in English, but he seemed to have some difficulties in understanding my request. I then asked in Japanese and received the free upgrade without reservation in advance. Every plate was decent throughout our courses, and the Ozaki beef sirloin was sinfully delectable. In addition, there is a good variety of house wines can be ordered by glass. Thanks to the sommelier's generosity, I could even taste 3 reds (A to Z's Pinot Noir 2012, Ceretto's Barolo Zonchetta 2009, and Claude Dugat's Gevrey-Chambertin 2011), for free, before I made my mind. This pairing trial was really enjoyable. We eventually picked a half-bottle of Guy Larmandier's Cramant Blanc de Blancs for pairing with appetizers and seafoods, which was fairly impressive, and a glass of Ceretto's Barolo Zonchetta for paring with the beef, which was mind-blowing IMHO. Nevertheless, there was a trivial typo on the wine list, and hopefully it was corrected. In terms of service, waiters and waitresses were appropriately attentive, the sommelier was very generous, and the chef's culinary skill was spot-on. Limited English proficiency of the team might be the major weakness if I would like to be finicky, otherwise perfect.
