牛カツ 京都勝牛 なんば千日前

I had very high hopes of this place when I went, only to be very disappointed. The picture shows the difference of quality when ordering the same menu. Surprisingly, the tiny ones are of the 130g platter, and the big ones are from the 100g. At first, I thought only the size was different due to a di...fferent cut, but also the taste and quality of beef was very different that even a non-foody like me can know the difference. I asked and sort of complained to the staff, but they insisted it was the same beef and that they were sorry for not mentioning thr size difference in advance. In my opinion, the one I received (130g) was much more worse in terms of freshness and taste. I strongly recommend not going to this place, but if you insist, order the 100g or 160g platter. Translation: 사람들이 하도 규카츠 맛있다고, 꼭 먹으라고 해서 오사카에서 가봤는데, 오사카에서 간 게 문젠지는 모르겠지만 정말 실망이 컸습니다. 첨부된 사진을 보시면 규카츠 종류가 두 가지가 있는데, 놀랍게도 큰 덩어리가 100그람짜리의 일부고, 작은 것들이 제가 시킨 130그람짜리였습니다 - 같은 메뉴. 사이즈만 보고 맛을 결정할 수는 없었으나 벌써부터 상당히 실망스러웠는데, 역시나 두 메뉴의 맛에서도 큰 차이가 나더라고요. 제가 시킨 130그람짜리보다 100그람짜리가 훨씬 더 고기가 신선하고 연하고 맛있었습니다. 이게 황당하고 조금 화나기도 했지만 차분하게 영어로 컴플레인을 걸었지만, 영어는 잘 안통하더라고요. 결론은 사이즈에 대해서는 죄송하지만, 맛은 같은 결국 고기이기 때문에 똑같다는 것이 식당 측 입장이었습니다. 두 번 다시 규카츠 먹으러 갈 것 같지는 않네요. 그냥 같은 돈 내고 돈까스 먹고 말겠습니다. 다른 분들도 굳이 가실거면 100그람짜리나 사진 샘플에 나와있는 거랑 같은 160그람짜리를 시키시길 바랍니다.

We ordered the Beef Cutlet Zen and it came with a soft boiled egg, a few different sauces for the beef, cabbage, miso soup and rice. The beef was served medium rare and you can cook it more on the pan that they provide if you would like it more cooked. The barley rice was healthy and delicious! I fe...lt that for the price they could have given more beef as the portion was a little small. Overall it was a delicious meal. The interior was nice and clean and the restaurant has a bathroom at the back. Service was fantastic and the staff was very friendly. Do note that only cash is accepted.

Only the external appearance was ok. This restaurant features beef cutlet. Cutlet must be deep-fried right in the restaurant after the order, but this place just warm already deep-fried cutlet that was prepared, which led lack of "crisp". Moreover, the price is high.

We bumped into this restaurant after walking through all the rowdy and tacky shops in the tori. This restaurant is like a breath of fresh air, with simple and clean tables and chairs. Clients eating there are quiet and subdued. KYoto katsugyu is a big chain store selling beef steak meals at a mode...rate price. It's like Red Robins hamburgers in the US. We asked the waiter how the food is ordered. He kindly pointed us to the English menu . we decided to try both the regular beef set ￥1,350, the black beef set ¥2,480. With every steak, there are rice, miso soup, shredded cabbage , curry sauce, steak sauce, and a soft poached egg. The cabbage with the Yuzu sauce was very refreshing. The restaurants charged a very modest 50 yens for additional cabbage. We all had a second helping. The lack of vegetables in the days of Japanese food made us craved so. Personally I feel the regular beef, though not as buttery tender as the black beef has better beef taste to it. One of my friend tried the black beef in well done, it came out excellent , as the oil are all fried up in the beef, leaving no oily feeling in the mouth. Hot tea and water pitchers are on the table so we can help ourselves to all that we can drink. We ended up so full from this delicious meal. Very satisfied.
