“Kaiseki lunch”
This restaurant is famous in Kyoto. I went to a branch in Porta underpass, near Kyoto station. When I entered, staffs greeted me with a soft Kyoto dialect. I chose "Ume Kaiseki" for 1500 yen, it was perfect. All the dishes were tasty and looked so beautiful.

“Delicious Kyoto Cuisine that is affordable”
When you visit Kyoto, you will learn about the city's obsession with tofu. Here, tofu is just not a block of fluffy mesh, it comes with all forms and varieties. Usually, these types of cuisine are ridiculously expensive if you are looking for great quality. However, if you are not a particular fan o...f tofu/vegetarian meals, you should still try this place. The prices are comparatively affordable (2,000 to 3,000 a set), and the presentation and quality of food is quite impressive. There are options other than tofu cuisine too, but I ordered the tofu specialty set. Almost everything in the set was made with soy bean, and they are mostly very lightly flavored. I would recommend savoring the food slowly in order to enjoy the creamy and mild soy bean taste effectively. All the items on menus have photos and English translation, so it would not be difficult for foreigners to order. However, the place was very popular amongst locals, so expect about 30 minutes waiting time during dinner hours. But you can have a walk around the mall at the Kyoto Station while you wait.

It's close to the Kyoto station, here offer nice dish set, simple and cheaper then the main shop. if you don't have time to try, here is a good please to go!
