This restaurant does not accept reservation AND only cash. Strangely it is very popular for Chinese ( in the entire room there was only 1 table of non Chinese !!! ( i said Chinese and not Japanese ....). This being said the service is simply great, the room very authentic and well-decorated and the... food good. It is an “easy” access to Japanese food other than sushi / sashimi / etc. Worth waiting outside.

The phrase it melts in you mouth came to my mind as soon as I first tasted the Sukiyaki they served. They cook it for us at our table n it was different way of cooking sukiyaki. The lady was sooo nice n explained every step n anzwered our questions. Anyway the food was absolutely wonderful. T...he restaurant seemed like a residence house. We went upstairs to a small room just big enough for two of us nit was sooop cozy. I recommend highly.

This restaurant is amazing. We came here for a family dinner on Valentine’s Day, and everyone was so impressed. Their beef quality was extremely good. The appetizers were also very creative and delicious. Desserts were the sweetest strawberries ever! Staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a ver...y satisfying dinner indeed! Also, fun little tidbit: HRH prince Charles dined at this restaurant! A must try while in Kyoto!

Do you want to eat the real shabu -shabu go to this fab place in Gion . Go very early such as 18:00 for dinner later there is a long queue try it. Is just amazing ! I loved it food was excellent! Just try is worth a try is delicious.
