“Don’t waste your money!!!”
Being from San Francisco, we eat a lot of good sushi. I have also had a lot of good sushi in Japan but this place was horrible!!! The plate of 3 types of tuna was the equivalent of $30 and was the opposite of melt in your mouth. I had to send a piece back that was supposed to be fatty tuna. I couldn...’t pick up the first piece it was so hard and the second piece I had to grab with my hand and rip apart with my teeth. I do t know if we just were served the second hand tuna or if they just don’t buy the best quality. Do yourself a favor and go into the Nishiki market for good sushi. We would have done so but it was after 8 pm and the shops were all closed.

Racist. Told us they have no rice even though i saw a huge pot of rice and then they hid it behind their backs and didn’t let us sit down even though there were plenty of seats available. Horrible service

“A real gem”
This sushi restaurant is a real gem tucked away in a side street and frequented by locals and some tourists. It has bar and table service, with outstanding service and sufficient English understanding. The fish is so fresh, the rice excellent, all freshly prepared and with decent prices. Will come a...gain!

“Delicious sushi!”
We were craving some nice sushi, and ended up coming to this restaurant around the Daimaru shopping area. We were keen to experience watching our sushi chef making our sushi fresh in front of us, and were glad to be seated at the bar. We selected a variety of different sushi, which tasted delicious ...and super fresh, and was nice seeing all the chefs preparing them and making it look super easy! The staff were very friendly and attentive during our time at the restaurant

“Excellent Sushi restaurant in central Kyoto”
Located in main shopping area in central Kyoto by Daimaru department store. Sit up counter seats around 12 with other tables to the side. Superb selection of sushi. Tried 12 different fish..all delicious and perfectly presented. Reception and serving ladies very friendly, Sushi chef very professiona...l. Really high quality sushi. Worth a visit if in central Kyoto.
