ふぐ・魚匠料理 たらふく 梅田堂山店

This is primarily a Fugu restaurant but in the summer months, they have Pike Conger on the menu. Advance reservations and confirmation are needed at this restaurant. While they do have walk-ins, they cannot guarantee a full menu for those who haven't preordered. The restaurant has multiple sepa...rate tatami-style rooms and nice legless chairs with backs and padding. I am grateful for this because I can't squat or sit cross-legged on the tatami floor anymore. According to our waitress, we were the only customers this evening. They serve the Pike Conger in a similar way they serve the Fugu. The first course is on ice, and the second is the fish thinly sliced, eaten either sashimi-style or quick dip in a hot pot. The final course, it's the traditional porridge they make with rice and whatever is left in the hotpot. It was very, very good. Course menu, preordered isn't cheap. You need to pay over ¥10,000 per person plus booze. However, you get an amazing meal and a very comfortable room where you can talk in private. This is a great spot to have a private meal. I would come here again, especially in the winter months when they have their namesake Fugu fish.

Save yourself and avoid this place at all costs unless you wish to pay extra for food you can get somewhere else. I made a reservation for a party of 4 with discounts for Ta Ke course. The food was ok-they served very small portions. When we requested our check, the receipt came with only the total ...value visible. Later that night we realized that they charged us 2000 yen more than what was on the menu + 2 extra drinks (600 yen) + our discount was not applied. Very disappointed and unbelievable that this happened in Japan.
